Board of Directors

Anneke Hobson, MA, MPH, RD

Anneke worked as a Public Health Dietitian for 5 years in Kingston, Ontario, and in 2022 left to start her own private practice. She is a co-author of the Board of Health report Diets for a Cool Planet: Healthy, sustainable diets for Toronto. She started Dietitians for Climate Action (previously known as Drawdown Dietetics) after reading many calls to action for dietitians to take leadership on climate change, but not seeing enough action for the scale of the problem. She’s committed to using evidence to support and promote dietitians in this area, and really hopes we can save the future of chocolate.

Renita Lam, MPH, RD

Renita is a private practice dietitian in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Her interest in sustainable diets began with a project during her Master’s degree and continued as she was able to help educate her clients on climate-friendly food choices. From cricket protein to veggie scrap broth, she enjoys exploring the different avenues for climate change mitigation and hopes to help support other dietitians in this area of practice.
